A proxy is

Proxies were invented to add structure and encapsulation to distributed systems. Today, most proxies are web proxies, facilitating access to content on the World Wide Web.
Well There are many application and even sites which provide proxy servers list and also many addons are out there..
Proxy helps us to be use the internet in a very secretive manner :0
Well u may be thinking what's the use of this?
There are many sites which are made for doing cookie hijacking so using this will protect ur ids from there
